Exchange Antivirus Protection
UConn's Exchange servers are protected by antivirus software which protects you from receiving and propagating computer viruses. Each piece of e-mail that is sent or received through the Exchange server is scanned for viruses.
Viruses can spread with and without the use of e-mail. If you do not have antivirus software installed on your computer you are taking a chance of becoming infected with a virus, resulting in corruption of your data and infection other computers on the UConn network.
To help ensure the safety of UConn's resources, the University provides Symantec AntiVirus software free of charge to UConn students, faculty and staff. Please be sure to install Norton antivirus and update it regularly
If you have questions, please feel free to call the UITS Help Center at (860) 486-4357 or visit UConn's security web site.
