Spam E-mail Rules

Setting up rules in Outlook 2003/2007:

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click on Tools, then click on Rules and Alerts.

  4. Click on New Rule.
  5. Click on Start from a blank rule, then select Check messages when they arrive.

  7. Click on Next.
  8. Click on with specific words in the subject in the upper screen.

  10. In the lower screen, click on specific words.
  11. In the text field type in {SPAM?}, then click on Add.

  13. In the text field type in {VIRUS?}, then click on Add.
  14. Click on OK. Then click on Next.
  15. Click on move it to the specified folder in the upper screen.

  17. Click on specified in the lower window.
  18. Browse to the folder you want to move the messages to (ex. Junk), then click OK.

  20. Click Next. Click Next.
  21. Click Run this rule now on messages already in Inbox.

  23. Click Finish. Click OK.
