Remove Personal Folder files from Outlook

Outlook Personal Folder files have their limitations and it is recommended that you periodically backup your Personal Folder file from Outlook.

Follow these steps to remove your Personal Folder file from Outlook

  1. In Outlook, right-click your Personal Folder file.
  2. Click on Close Personal Folder file .

Your Personal Folder file has now been removed from Outlook. You can now back up the file to a CD/DVD, a Zip disk, or your department's file server.
