Eudora Shared Mailbox Configuration
Follow the instructions below to configure Eudora 6.2 to connect to a shared mailbox.

1. To start Eudora go to Start > All Programs > Eudora > Eudora.
2. With Eudora open go to Tools > Options.
3. In the Getting Started tab complete the following information.
- Real Name: Type the name of the shared mailbox.
- Email address: Type the e-mail address of your shared mailbox.
- Mail Server: Type exchange.uconn.edu.
- User Name: The user name has three parts.
- uconn\
- Your NETid\
- The resource number for your shared mailbox.
- Example: uconn\jdc04004\resource0177
- SMTP Server (Outgoing): smtp.uconn.edu
- Uncheck Allow authentication box.
4. In the Checking Mail tab change the Secure Sockets when Receiving is changed to Required alternate port.
5. Enter exchange.uconn.edu for the IMAP Mailbox Location Prefix.
Note: If you are using a paid/licensed copy of Eudora DO NOT enter the IMAP Mailbox Location Prefix.
6. Change the Secure Sockets when Sending to Never.
7. Enter your Password.
You will now be able to get the mail from your Department's shared mailbox account.
