Important Update Regarding Eudora
QUALCOMM, the makers of Eudora, has announced some important changes to the Eudora e-mail program. You MUST upgrade to 7.1 (win) and 6.2.4 (Mac) by March 31st or your Eudora will revert to light mode. For more detailed information go to main Eudora site.
How does this change affect me?
Light Mode removes several important features from the product, such as spell checking, multiple personalities, stationary, multiple signatures, colored text, advanced filter features, in-line graphics and more.
What are my choices?
1. Upgrade Eudora to the versions listed above. You will need Windows 2000 or Windows XP to run 7.1 (win) and OSX to run 6.2.4 (Mac). To download these go to http://www.eudora.com/download.
2. University Information Technology Services (UITS) supports and recommends Outlook for Windows and Entourage or Apple Mail for the Macintosh. These products come with Microsoft Office, however if you need a copy, it is available at the http://software.uconn.edu.
