Eudora IMAP Configuration: Macintosh
Follow the steps below to configure Eudora to use IMAP with UConn's Exchange server. Beginning with version 5.1 Eudora can be used to access Exchange using secure IMAP.
The latest versions of Eudora can be downloaded from http://www.eudora.com and are recommended by UITS.
Note: UITS Technicians will assist in the installation of Eudora as an IMAP e-mail client only. Further Support will be from other sources such as http://www.eudora.com/techsupport/win/ for windows users and http://www.eudora.com/techsupport/mac/ for Macintosh users.

- Go to the Special menu and select the Settings command.

- From Settings dialog select the Getting Started section in left-column listing. Fill in the following information:

User Name: YourNetID Mail Server: exchange.uconn.edu Real Name: First Name SMTP Server: smtp.uconn.edu Email Address: first.last@uconn.edu
- Select Checking Mail in the left-column listing and ensure that IMAP is selected as the Mail Protocol.
- Scroll down the left-column listing and select the Address Book section. Ensure the option for Show OS X AddressBook at the bottom of the right-hand-side is checked-off
- Scroll down the left-column listing and select the SSL
section. Ensure that the SSL for IMAP option is set to Required (Alternate Port).
- Click OK then enter your Exchange/NetID password to login. Eudora will now be setup to use IMAP with UConn's Exchange server.
