Configure Entourage for IMAP

Entourage can be used to access Exchange using secure IMAP

You will need to make sure that you have a keychain set up before setting up Entourage to IMAP.

Follow the steps below to configure Entourage to use IMAP with UConn's Exchange server.

  1. Open Microsoft Entourage, click on the Tools menu and select Accounts.

  2. In the Accounts window, click New.

  3. In the Account Setup Assistant window, click on the Configure Account Manually button.

  4. On the New Account window, select IMAP as the account type, then click OK.

  5. Fill in the Account Settings in the Edit Account window
    • Account name: Enter UConn Exchange IMAP.
    • Name: Your full name.
    • E-Mail Address: Your UConn personal name e-mail address.
    • Account ID: uconn\NetID (uconn\abc01001)
    • IMAP Server: exchange.uconn.edu
    • Password: Your Exchange/NetID password

  6. Click OK.

Entourage will now be set up to use IMAP with UConn's Exchange server.
